Winter Storm Heather in January 2024 significantly damaged the structures of the Wood Island Light station. To learn more click here. The Friends of Wood Island Lighthouse still plan on opening the island for tours this coming summer. We are the only boat tour company in the State of Maine that offers the unique experience of a sail combined with personalized tour of a full renovated light station. We love sharing the stories and sights of this amazing treasure and hope you can join us!
